Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

The Laowa VE7520MFTAEBLK by Venus Optics is an extremely high-quality yet compact wide-angle f/2 lens compatible with all Panasonic, Olympus, BlackMagic, DJI cameras with an MFT (m4/3) sensor. In its new Auto Aperture version, it features a CPU chip and motor to fully control the aperture through your camera. Additionally, you can record all EXIF information in your photos.

It also allows the activation of the focus magnifier feature for high-precision focusing.
