No comparison with the plastic ones that are circulating, which collect salts resulting in being dangerous for the pet's health. It holds a satisfactory amount of water but in any case, the water in all fountains should be changed every 2-3 days at most. The cat drinks pleasantly. One disadvantage is that it does not have an activated carbon filter, but it did not bother me as I use water from a faucet filter. A very good purchase, I recommend it!
