The Advance Acoustic X-P1200 preamplifier is a stereo model with two independent preamplification circuits, housed in a dual-chassis design to isolate the circuits and improve channel separation. The two channels are powered independently by two transformers. Inputs and outputs are switched by relays, while the RCA inputs are converted to a balanced signal using Burr-Brown operational amplifiers.
For digital sources, it uses an Analog Devices AD-1955 converter with a signal-to-noise ratio of 123 dB. PC or Mac connection for audio file playback is supported via XMOS technology. Outputs are available in balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA formats.
