This book is the first comprehensive overview of the concept and practice of differentiated instruction by Greek authors. Differentiated instruction is essentially a new and particularly relevant proposal for changing teaching within the context of the formal classroom, which can improve the learning of all students, utilizing - and not excluding - their diversity.

The multidisciplinary approach by the authors of the book highlights multiple components of the topic. The theoretical chapters help the reader become familiar with the theoretical principles and understand in depth the dimensions of differentiated instruction.

A significant part of the book is also dedicated to applications of differentiated instruction in the Greek school reality, with specific teaching proposals for different subject areas and in different learning contexts. Thus, current and future educators in primary and secondary education have in their hands an important tool that will allow them to teach in the best and most effective way to the highly heterogeneous student population of today’s school.
