The publishing house "Zitros" begins with this volume the edition of the "Historical Library" of Diodorus Siculus. This work is one of the longest in ancient Greek literature. Although many of its books have not survived and some have been preserved mutilated or with many gaps, the volume of the surviving books will cover ten volumes in this series, which has been compiled through the efforts of our collaborator Theodoros G. Mavropoulos.

We hope that, as far as possible, we will gradually release the next volumes of this great historical compilation and that within a reasonable time frame we will complete its publication. Our intention is to keep this promise, as we did with the historical works of Herodotus and Thucydides, which are already nearing completion thanks to the corresponding efforts of our collaborators Gavriil Syntomoros and Athanasios Giagkopoulos.
