In the Politics, Aristotle reflects on which regime is the best, describes Democracy, and contemplates it without actually endorsing it.
For Aristotle, the best regime is one that serves the interest of the State and relates to how much a regime contributes to enabling each citizen to achieve what the philosopher considers the highest good, Eudaimonia, which is neither wealth nor pleasure, but something relative and different for each person.
Pleasure is its natural consequence, and wealth is its usual prerequisite.
