The electromechanical conversion of energy is one of the key areas of study for Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. The goal is the optimal (with purely techno-economic criteria) collaboration between the engineers and the electrical components of an electromechanical system.
From the perspective of the electrical engineer, it relates to the control and drive systems of electric motors (position, speed, torque control), with the aim of continuously adjusting the driving machine to the demands of the moving system (load).
From the perspective of the mechanical engineer, it requires a complete study of strength, as well as the static and dynamic analysis of all the individual components of the mechanical part.
In conclusion, the proper design of an electromechanical system requires a thorough understanding of the static and dynamic behavior of all its individual components, as their action and interaction achieve the desired outcome.
