The 3M ScaleGard Pro P195BN-E replacement filter is designed for water softening systems and commercial espresso machines. Its ion-exchange resin reduces water hardness, while the activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor, as well as particulate matter. The built-in bypass allows 25% of the water to pass through without softening, retaining some of the minerals that contribute to coffee flavor.

Its capacity is 3,800 liters at a hardness of 180 ppm CaCO3, with a flow rate of 3.8 liters per minute. It is replaced using the Sanitary Quick Change (SQC) system, with a quarter-turn and no tools or contact with the filtration media required. For use with cold water.
