Color supplements have been formulated so that the ratio of elements in each supplement is the same as that found in the skeleton and soft tissue of corals. Research has identified a stable ratio between each of the Coral Colors and the overall calcium consumption, which correlates with coral growth and metabolic activity. This provides a simple and safe method of dosing all color supplements.

• Coral Color A: A complex of halogens (iodine, bromine, and fluorine). Halogens act as antioxidants and oxidants in the soft tissue and layer of corals, reducing the likelihood of coral bleaching. In active reef systems, these elements are quickly depleted due to their high oxidative potential and reactivity with organic materials.
