I bought the ones that are detachable for the front and the same coaxial ones for the rear doors. The speakers have a much higher quality construction than the factory ones and give you something extra in terms of volume and sound. In my car, a Mazda 3 BL sedan, after installing adapters on all the doors so that I could put round speakers, I saw an upgrade in both volume and sound quality. The maximum of the radio (mom) is 70 and it plays loudly and clearly up to 35. After that, the sound quality starts to deteriorate. Personally, I don't want to go through the process of installing an amplifier. I simply chose to upgrade the sound of my car a little bit because two out of the four factory speakers were damaged and making noise. These specific speakers are of the woofer type, so they perform well in low frequencies and produce a satisfactory bass. I installed them myself and also covered the door panels with 4mm soundproofing adhesive as well as the adapters with soundproofing foam. For those who want to upgrade the factory sound without going through many procedures and expenses, I believe it is a good choice. However, the installation is crucial, guys. If you improve the space from the doors and install them in a way that they don't produce rattling with the help of anti-vibration products, you will have a very good result.

First of all, I have to say that I don't have much experience with speakers. I installed them in a Citroen C3 2017 in the front (split) and combined them with coaxial speakers for the back from the same company (Hertz Car Speaker X 165 with 55W RMS). I didn't install an amplifier because I didn't want to spend too much money, and I use the car's original stereo.

They were installed and purchased from a reputable store for a total of 235 euros (including these speakers, coaxial speakers for the back, and installation). Overall, I didn't want anything extreme in terms of sound, the reason I changed the speakers was because the original ones were damaged, otherwise I wouldn't have changed them at all. Nevertheless, I have to say that even without an amplifier, they sound MUCH better than the original ones. The volume when turned up is almost the same (slightly louder), but the sound is very clear and the bass is very satisfying.

Also, the front speakers have a maximum power of 300W and the rear ones have 220W. So, if in the future I choose to add an amplifier and boost them to 75W each, the sound can be greatly upgraded!

For anyone who doesn't need something demanding but wants quality sound with good bass and volume, I highly recommend the set I chose. Especially for a total of 200-250 euros for the front and rear speakers, installation included, and considering that they can be three times better with an amplifier, it's a very good choice!

My review will mainly focus on the two woofers, as I bought them to replace the Peerless D6 woofers that I had in my car for 15 years! (so 5 +++ stars for the Peerless as well). So after all these years, it was time for the woofers to give up, but the fantastic crossovers and the very good tweeters continue to perform flawlessly. After a month of researching reviews from all over the planet and studying, I concluded that they would be replaced by Hertz speakers.

Big parenthesis... My first and most accurate choice to replace 300 euro speakers was the Hertz C165 or C165L, or of course, more expensive models. But because I wanted to use the tweeters that would be left over for another project, I ended up with these with a little hesitation...

After a week of careful use (due to the breaking-in of the speakers), I can say that both the initial build quality and the sound are well above their price. Since, as I mentioned before, I did not use the tweeters, I can say that the midrange of the woofers is sweet and powerful, and they handle the low frequencies with dignity, even though I have cut them at 80Hz to let a small subwoofer take over under the seat.

As a final observation and advice, I would say that in sets like these that have a line-level crossover, because they only cut the low frequencies before they go to the tweeter, they don't control anything from the frequencies that go to the woofers. So, they struggle to play the highs with two bad things happening. The first is that the sound "muddies" in the highs, as they enter the tweeter's territory, and the second is that ultimately, because it struggles with the highs, it affects the sound in the midrange or lows, which is their main job. So, in my case, using the Peerless crossovers that provide separate frequencies for the tweeter (minus the lows) and separately for the woofer (minus the highs), these speakers truly found the opportunity to "sing".

In conclusion, very good speakers for their price, but if you give them the opportunity with a higher quality crossover that you can get your hands on, they will more than compensate you
