This Archive, after the dissolution of the Venetian Republic, remained in Corfu, and its presence is attested to until the early years following the unification of the Ionian islands with Greece.
This study describes the foundation, operation, and content of the Archive, based on unpublished material located in the State Archive of Venice, and traces its footprints through literature, catalogs, and the exploration of the archival collections of the Corfu Archive.
