I had experience with the transparent one from the same company so I got the black one as well.
It doesn't give that strong (but temporary) shine of other products with a sponge, but it is deeper and lasts longer.
Good cleaning first, application with a cloth, let it dry naturally and then apply a light layer.

It is definitely a very strong shoe paint. You should be 100% sure that you are buying the right shade... In green shoes, the "Dark green" shade resulted in their color changing to almost black.
