The water that results after filtering has a strange, metallic taste. This can be corrected by adding a few grains of salt. Not coarse salt, but fine. This needs to be done for an additional reason: because it filters out all dissolved solids, including electrolytes, magnesium, etc., which are beneficial for our body's function, it's good to supplement them in this water. Also, because air remains trapped in the filter from manufacturing, it does not filter properly. You may measure the water with a new filter and get a reading of 50 or 60 units. Just fill the white container with water and gently tap the jug on the kitchen counter. You will immediately see bubbles coming out of the filter. Do this as many times as needed until the meter shows 0 units. Finally, if your filter wears out quickly, it means that your tap water is very hard. With Athens water, my filter lasts at least a month.

The water has a good taste, and the filter lasts depending on the usage and the quality of the water it filters. I filter and then add magnesium and potassium to make it ideal for an espresso machine at 90-100 ppm. If you don't care much about the taste of the coffee, you can add only potassium and avoid having to clean limescale. The shop is also approved, they sent the order immediately.
