On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Revolution, the fundamental work of Greek historiography "History of the Greek Revolution" is being released in 4 volumes, translated by Alexandros Papadiamantis and for the first time transcribed into modern Greek language.
This week, the third volume of the reference work that illuminates the events, figures, as well as known and unknown aspects of the Revolution is available. It captures the events of the Struggle from the start of the Revolution until the establishment of the independent Greek state as experienced by the historian and philhellene Finley, fighting alongside the Greeks.
A historical, political, and sociological approach to the events, with the unique translating style of Papadiamantis. The pre-revolutionary years, the preparation and start of the Revolution, the Struggle, foreign powers, the establishment of the independent state, and the creation of the Constitution.
The four luxury editions of the work are accompanied by rich illustrations drawn from significant collections of the National Historical Museum, the National Gallery, the Laskaridis Foundation, and others.
