The main objective of the book Signals and Systems is to present the fundamental concepts related to the corresponding thematic field. This presentation follows a purely educational approach, so that the tertiary education students to whom the text is addressed can acquire, through its study, the basic knowledge and skills required for their specialization in more advanced issues, such as telecommunications and automatic control systems.
Due to the large volume of the text, it was deemed necessary to divide it into two volumes, of which the first deals with signals and systems in the continuous time domain, while the second describes the same concepts as they are formulated in the discrete time domain.
The analytical presentation of the theory is accompanied by hundreds of solved and unsolved exercises, so that the reader can immediately and easily delve into the material presented, as well as the way in which it is used in practice.
