    A 5ah battery takes 60-70 minutes to charge. I have been using two of them for years with the dcd 995, dcd 996, and dcf 899. The technical specifications of the charger also state OUTPUT 4A on the back. It takes 30 minutes to charge a 2ah battery. For faster charging, use the Dewalt XR Li-on Flexvolt 18V DCB118 Multi-Charger with OUTPUT 8A.
