As soon as I finished my new build, buying combed cables was the first mod I wanted to do. I ended up choosing these specific ones as they are considered top-notch, and I wanted to avoid extensions, which are much cheaper but still require managing all the bulk of the factory PSU cables, while with this kit, you completely replace them. They are, of course, very high-quality and have all the cables you need for a build. The carbon color I got is perfect (my case is black with the motherboard and graphics card mainly black with charcoal and gray), and it looks nice without being too flashy.
The only downside is that because their material is quite strong, they are somewhat "stiff," and there are cases where it's a bit difficult to manage them inside the case, especially in sharp corners as they don't bend easily compared to the factory PSU cables. Also, for the same reason, it's a bit challenging to fit them into their channels for good cable management.
Also, be careful to buy the right cables for your PSU as there are several variations for different manufacturers, or even for older or newer models of the same manufacturer (I used these specifically on a Corsair RM 650 Black Label), so don't just look at the cheapest ones but do your research and choose the right ones.
The second and last downside is that they are expensive, very expensive! Only get them if you have finished your build exactly as you want it with the best possible components and simply have an extra 80-100 euros to improve its appearance. Otherwise, use that amount for a better graphics card, a processor, or anything else. We're talking about a premium and overpriced product that won't perform any better compared to the factory cables, it will just make it look prettier!
Με το που τελείωσα το νέο μου build το να αγοράσω combed cables ήταν το 1ο mod που ήθελα να κάνω. Κατέληξα στα συγκεκριμένα καθώς θεωρούνται από τα κορυφαία, ενώ ήθελα να αποφύγω τα extensions τα οποία είναι πολύ πιο οικονομικά αλλά έχετε πάλι να διαχειριστείτε όλον τον όγκο των εργοστασιακών καλωδίων του PSU, ενώ με το kit αυτό τα αντικαταστείτε εντελώς. Είναι φυσικά πολύ ποιοτικά και έχει όλα τα καλώδια που θα χρειαστείτε σε ένα build. Το χρώμα carbon που πήρα είναι τέλειο (το case μου είναι μαύρο με τη μητρική και την κάρτα γραφικών να είναι κυρίως μαύρο με ανθρακί και γκρι) και δείχνει όμορφο χωρίς να είναι τρανταχτό.
Το μόνο κακό τους είναι πως επειδή είναι αρκετά δυνατό το υλικό τους είναι κάπως "ντούρο" και υπάρχουν περιπτώσεις που είναι λίγο δύσκολα να τα διαχειριστείτε μέσα στο case, ειδικά σε απότομες γωνίες καθώς τσακίζουν πολύ δύσκολα σε αντίθεση με τα εργοστασιακά καλώδια των PSU. Επίσης για τον ίδιο λόγο είναι λίγο δύσκολα να τα βάλετε στα κανάλια τους για να κάνετε καλό cable management.
Επίσης μεγάλη προσοχή στο να αγοράσετε τα σωστά καλώδια για το PSU σας καθώς υπάρχουν αρκετές παραλλαγές για διαφορετικούς κατασκευαστές, ή ακόμη και για παλαιότερα ή νεότερα μοντέλα του ίδιου κατασκευαστή (τα συγκεκριμένα τα χρησιμοποίησα σε Corsair RM 650 Black Label), οπότε μην κοιτάτε μόνο τα φθηνότερα αλλά κάντε την έρευνά σας και επιλέξτε τα σωστά.
Το 2ο και τελευταίο κακό τους, είναι ακριβά, πολύ ακριβά! Πάρτε τα μόνο εάν έχετε τελειώσει το build σας όπως ακριβώς το θέλετε με τα καλύτερα δυνατά εξαρτήματα και απλά σας περισσεύουν 80-100 ευρώ για να βελτιώσετε την εμφάνιση του. Διαφορετικά χρησιμοποιήστε αυτό το ποσό για μια καλύτερη κάρτα γραφικών, έναν επεξεργαστή ή οτιδήποτε άλλο. Μιλάμε για ένα premium και overpriced προϊόν το οποίο δεν θα κάνει καμία δουλειά καλύτερα σε σύγκριση με τα εργοστασιακά καλώδια, απλά θα την κάνει πιο όμορφα!
