K&N’s reusable engine air filter is a durable and cost-effective solution for improving engine performance. It is made from multiple layers of high-quality cotton gauze, which create an effective filtration system that traps harmful contaminants, protecting the engine.

Unlike disposable filters, it can be washed, maintained, and reused, reducing the need for frequent replacements and limiting waste. Under normal highway driving conditions, K&N states that it requires cleaning every 120,000 km.

The filter is pre-oiled and ready to install in the factory air box, without requiring any special modifications. Its design has been developed to optimize airflow, helping improve acceleration and overall engine performance.

  • It does what it is supposed to do, i.e. slightly better throttle response. No, it does not noticeably reduce fuel consumption, maybe 1% due to lower pumping losses; the ECU keeps the mixture ratio constant, so if more air passes through, it injects more fuel. In diesel it does nothing anyway; even if we put a pressure device to push air, the paper one is superior.

    I haven't noticed any difference yet. Maybe it makes a bit more noise when it boosts. It has fewer blades than a regular filter and they are spaced further apart. As for the price, it's ok, it's about the same as 3 genuine conventional filters or around 4 branded ones.
