Description

The MANOLESAKIS ESTATE, owned by the Manolesakis family, has been engaged in viticulture & winemaking since 1989, with French varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Syrah. Since 2004, the exploration of new crops has led to Greek native varieties such as Malagousia, Muscat of Alexandria, Assyrtiko, and Agiorgitiko. In 2008, Moschomavro and Limnio were added, and in 2014 the Pinot Noir variety.

The wine production is exclusively from the privately owned vineyard, highlighting the distinctiveness of each variety, in harmony with the microclimate and soil of the vineyards.

  • Syrah 60%
  • Agiorgitiko 40%
  • Yield: 800-900 kilograms per stremma

The harvest is done at night to ensure the grapes reach the winery cool, without thermal shock. The Syrah and Agiorgitiko grape mass is kept cool for 1-2 hours until the desired color is achieved. This is followed by classic rosé vinification and maturation on fine lees for 2 months, which increases volume and gives a rich body.
