    Yes, it does its job but for me, with its own power supply, it has a slight buzzing sound. I changed the power supply with a Xiaomi wifi-router that has the same voltage and 5V, 1A plug and it doesn't have any buzzing. Never again TELE. Luckily, at least the converter works well. Also, I remind you that you cannot change the volume of the sound from the TV when you select optical output. If your sound system doesn't have a remote control, you will have to manually adjust it from the sound system's controls. Although the converter has CE certification (it has a sticker, which doesn't inspire confidence if it's genuine CE), the power supply has no certification at all! If you also hear buzzing in the speakers and you have the opportunity to get another better power supply with the same 5V/1A plug, then the converter will do its job just fine. Otherwise, spend a little more money to get the NEDIS.
