The primary goal of this publication is the structured presentation of the field of telecommunications, which we consider very useful for any written treatment of topics, especially when they are in a phase of continuous evolution. The second main goal is the detailed reference to the fundamental issues concerning Teleinformatics and the clarification of ambiguities that are often encountered. The third goal is the descriptive presentation of autonomous technological topics (e.g., IP, Wi-Fi, WiMax, MPLS, VoIP) that have widespread practical use and could even constitute a separate publication.
