The Lamda thermometer with automatic activation measures body temperature from a distance of 5–10 cm in less than 0.5 seconds. It detects movement and turns on automatically, while the LED display shows the reading. The audio and visual indicators vary depending on whether the temperature is normal.

For a normal temperature, the device beeps once and a green indicator flashes. For a temperature above or below the normal range, an alarm sounds with two beeps and a red indicator flashes. The device can be powered by a USB cable or batteries and can be mounted on a wall, tripod or stand.
