I was in search of a quality gas grill with a large cooking surface without breaking my budget like the "branded" ones. I also wanted it to be available in many stores so that I could easily find any "extras" I might need later on.
After finding a good deal, I chose the elite 5050 and I was pleasantly surprised beyond my expectations.
The two main features that stand out in this grill are the quality of the cast iron grates, heavy and sturdy, of the same quality as a Weber grill that a friend uses. It also has space to fit a cast iron skillet or a pizza stone.
As a second advantage, the large square lid provides comfort for rotisserie cooking as well as cooking with pots and pans.
I have used the side burner perfectly so far for sauces and marinating.
The ignitions are at a normal level, easy to clean as it has a metal plate under the burners where I put aluminum foil each time before cooking and throw it away when I'm done.
In various tests, everyone has been satisfied. The large cooking surface is particularly helpful as it can accommodate many items and you have space to spread out your meats.
Therefore, for now, I can't find anything negative.
