The field of Grammatology and Patristic Interpretation, as a distinct part of the science of Theology, approaches the literary production of the Fathers and Christian writers, with the initial purpose of objectively illuminating the historical circumstances within which they acted and recorded their experiences of the Triune God and the God-Man Jesus Christ.

On a secondary level, this branch of the science of Theology seeks to solve the various historical, grammatical, and philological problems of textual tradition, to extract the possible timeless perspectives of its messages, and finally, to describe the critical approach to reality experienced by Christian writers.
