All Yuasa batteries use a unique electrolyte suspension system that incorporates a fine glass mat to retain the maximum amount of electrolyte in the cells. The electrolyte is retained in the separator material, so no electrolyte escapes from the cells. No gel or other contaminants are added.
The extremely low self-discharge rate allows the battery to be stored for an extended period of up to one year at normal ambient temperatures without permanent power loss.
