I am a refrigeration technician. I mainly use them to secure the external base of the air conditioner. It grips very well on any type of wall. Even on alpha blocks, it holds as it should (with two screws on the base, it holds me comfortably. I weigh 80 kilograms.)
I use 8x80 screws. They may cost much more than regular screws, but they have a secure grip and I use fewer of them.
