    It works for a 6-volt moped / 12-volt motorcycle, replaces the factory flasher, and if by mistake the wiring is wrong (it has very detailed instructions), it does not burn out; it simply will not light up, so immediately change the polarity before you burn it out.
    As for the ground, don't bother looking for a metal part of the frame, just connect it to some ground wire.
