While the original has a sweet citrus flavor and the Masskara a distinctive sweet-and-spicy aftertaste, this one tries to bring out the character of a charred oak barrel, but unfortunately the result, combined with the considerable amount of sugar (which all the varieties in the range contain), tastes like children’s toothpaste.

The main criterion for the 3 stars is the price, which prevents me from giving it more. With a little more than half the money, you can get the Chairman's Reserve Spiced, which I consider to be far superior in this type of rum. As well as others, of course... This is the first rum I have tried, and I can say with certainty that I would not buy it again...
