It is not by any means 12dbi. It has the exact same performance as the small 3dbi antennas that cheap routers have. The base claims to be magnetic, and it is, but the magnet is very weak and couldn't hold the weight of the antenna on a vertical surface. For the 5 euros it costs, it is good.
