To prepare Greek coffee with a copper pot, follow these steps:

  • Fill the pot with cold water to the level you desire for the amount of coffee you want to make.
  • Add the ground coffee to the pot. The recommended ratio is about 1 teaspoon of coffee per cup of water, but you can adjust according to your taste preference.
  • Add any desired sugar.
  • Place the pot on medium heat on the stove and let it slowly heat up. It may take about 4-5 minutes for the water to reach boiling point.
  • When the water starts to boil, a frothy layer will form on the surface of the coffee. Once you see this frothy layer, remove the pot from the heat.
  • Let the pot settle for a few seconds to allow the frothy layer to set.
  • Repeat the process 2-3 times, mixing the frothy layer on top with the rest of the coffee in the pot.
  • When the coffee is ready, you can serve it in cups, first spooning the frothy layer into each cup.
  • Enjoy your Greek coffee!
