    • I've had it for a year and a half! It works like new! I use it more for espresso and less for cappuccino, although it makes quite good milk froth for a home coffee machine!

It's worth it if you want to experiment with coffee flavors and opinions. Coming from a Krups automatic, now I understand how many parameters affect the taste. I like plain espresso so it's quite easy to make one. The basic requirement is a hand grinder (I recommend 1zpresso) from China, and from videos and advice I confirmed that it is top for its price. Then you can experiment with coffee/water gram ratios, it's interesting and worth the budget, which turned out to be very reasonable compared to some suggestions for grinders and coffee makers I've seen. I also extended the warranty at a low cost and time will tell

So after a lot of research I have the following to say. The machine is 5/5, it just doesn’t have a single/double espresso option so you have to stop the flow yourself. It also doesn’t have a pressure gauge, so keep that in mind as well. Now let’s get to the VERY IMPORTANT details. This particular model is the CE.230BK. What does this mean? Its portafilter is non-pressurized single wall, which is closer to professional machines and allows us to get better results and experiment with the grind of the coffee. That is, 17g of espresso should give us about 34g of beverage in about 25 seconds. That’s the ideal, but to achieve it we either have to grind the coffee ourselves or go to a shop and ask for a grind BELOW 2! That is, to grind the coffee very fine. If we don’t ask for this, the coffee will flow too quickly and it won’t be right, it will come out in 9 seconds and be very watery. They will suggest grinding at 2.4 because that’s what they usually do for home espresso machines and for most this is correct, but be careful, most have a pressurized double wall portafilter while this one has a SINGLE WALL NON PRESSURIZED. There is another review here where a friend says to grind coarser, obviously he got confused and has the CE235.BK while this is the CE230.BK. Be very careful with the machine model you choose because visually they are identical except for the detail I just explained.

It requires coffee from a shop that grinds coffee at a setting of 2.5 or 3 depending on the type of coffee. It needs a measuring cup and a good 100-watt countertop mixer to blend the coffee from the measuring cup and the desired amount of sugar (hand mixers do not froth). Finally, we have a glass with 5 ice cubes and we pour it in
