The Naniwa Super Stone S2 sharpening stone with a grit rating of 3000 is designed for fine sharpening and finishing an already shaped edge. It improves the blade’s sharpness and smooths out marks left by medium- or coarser-grit stones, preparing it for final polishing.

This Japanese water stone uses white aluminum oxide (corundum) as its abrasive. It takes little time to wet, and in many cases a quick spray is enough.
