    With this adapter, I connected an old Garmin eTrex GPS to the NIKON D800 for Geotagging. Of course, I had to make a connection cable and modify the eTrex a bit by adding a female jack instead of the existing connection, but there is also a ready-made cable which, however, seemed expensive to me. The solution is very satisfactory. The GPS, with a fairly long cable, can be stored in a pocket/bag, ensuring very good freedom of movement. For those who already have compatible equipment, it is an excellent solution.
