The Story of Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is an original classic fairy tale by Beatrix Potter. First published in 1905, it remains as enchanting today as it was then. It tells the story of a hidden house high in the hills, which one day is discovered by a little girl named Lucia, who is searching for her lost handkerchiefs. She knocks on the small door and meets Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, who does all the washing and ironing for the neighboring animals. Lucia has a lovely day helping her, and only at the end of the day does she realize that Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is a hedgehog!
