Οι splitters αυτοί πάνε πάντα σε ζεύγη. Τους συνδέεις από τις δύο μεριές ενός κανονικού 8-κλωνου Ethernet καλωδίου και το "κόβουν" σε δύο συνδέσεις 4-κλωνες. Σαν αποτέλεσμα κάθε σύνδεση είναι μέχρι 100 Mbps full duplex. Είναι σημαντικό να είναι ίδιοι splitters, ώστε ο ένας να "χωρίζει" το καλώδιο και ο άλλος να το "ενώνει".
