It has a beautiful design, the color is very nice, the fit is comfortable, and it does indeed protect from the wind. However, it is definitely not waterproof. The rain directly soaks the fabric. I bought it for a summer trip abroad, in a place with heavy tropical rains. It did not hold any water at all, it became soaked (although it dried quickly). Also, the zipper handle is very small and it is difficult to fit it into the fold of the zipper base and close it. If someone wants a truly waterproof jacket, they should pass on this one.
