I ordered and received it in August 2025. Although the photo shows version 1, I received version 3. The differences are mostly in the plastics, since the hardware inside is the same (JMicron controller).
For those who don't know, this model is a USB dock with 4 slots, meaning you can insert up to 4 SATA drives and the operating system sees them via USB 3.0. For RAID capabilities, you need to go for the larger model IB-RD3640SU3.
It came in careful packaging but when I opened it, I found a screw (!) swimming inside the box. I turned it upside down and a spare screw came out, which (theoretically) supports the board to the plastic chassis. I'll let that pass.
I read the user manual (available in English and German), installed 4x 6TB Ironwolf Pro drives and it recognized them normally. I disabled Sleep with the Interface button and left the fan on auto. As soon as the drives heat up, the fan goes up a level (Min - Medium - Max).
At first, I used it on Windows and even set up a RAID which worked fine. Then I added it to Proxmox 9, passed the drives to a NAS VM and set up a RAID there. It works fine without any problems, its performance is good and overall I am happy.
If I have to find something wrong, it would be the relatively small fan which, with my drives that heat up easily, when set to auto, almost immediately goes to the 3rd level, resulting in it being audible in the house. In an office, I don't think it would be very noticeable, but in a quiet home, unfortunately, I can hear it. Also, the power supply is quite bulky for 60 Watts.
Finally, with 4 drives, it consumes a measured total of 45-50 Watts, which is reasonable if you consider that one drive needs 9-10 Watts.
For those who don't know, there is a model with 8 drive slots (IB-3680SU3), as well as one with RAID capabilities (IB-RD3680SU3)

Για όσους δε γνωρίζουν, το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο είναι ένα USB dock με 4 θέσεις, δηλαδή βάζουμε μέχρι και 4 SATA δίσκους και μέσω USB 3.0 τους βλέπει το λειτουργικό σύστημα. Για δυνατότητες RAID θα πρέπει να πάτε στο μεγαλύτερο μοντέλο IB-RD3640SU3.
Ήρθε σε προσεγμένη συσκευασία αλλά ανοίγοντας το, βρήκα μια βίδα (!) να κολυμπά μέσα στο κουτί. Το γύρισα ανάποδα και μου έβγαλε μια αχρησιμοποίητη βίδα που (θεωρητικά) στηρίζει τη πλακέτα με το πλαστικό σασί. Το προσπερνάω
Διάβασα τις οδηγίες χρήσης (υπάρχει σε Αγγλικά και Γερμανικά), τοποθέτησα 4x 6ΤΒ Ironwolf Pro και τους είδε κανονικά. Απενεργοποίησα το Sleep με το κουμπί Interface και άφησα τον ανεμιστήρα στο αυτόματο. Με το που ζεσταίνονται οι δίσκοι, ο ανεμιστήρας ανεβαίνει ένα επίπεδο (Min - Medium - Max).

Αν θέλω να βρω κάτι λάθος, αυτό θα είναι ο σχετικά μικρός ανεμιστήρας που με τους δικούς μου δίσκους που ζεσταίνονται εύκολα, έχοντας το στην αυτόματη ρύθμιση, πάει σχεδόν απευθείας στο 3ο επίπεδο, με αποτέλεσμα να ακούγεται μέσα στο σπίτι. Σε γραφείο θεωρώ δε θα ακούγεται πολύ αλλά σε ένα ήσυχο σπίτι, δυστυχώς το ακούω.
Επίσης το τροφοδοτικό είναι αρκετά μεγάλο σε όγκο για 60Watt.
Τέλος με 4 δίσκους, στο σύνολο καταναλώνει μετρημένα 45-50 Watt, το οποίο είναι λογικό αν υπολογίσουμε ότι ένας δίσκος θέλει 9-10 Watt.
Για όσους δε γνωρίζουν, υπάρχει το μοντέλο με 8 θέσεις δίσκων (IB-3680SU3), καθώς και με RAID δυνατότητες (IB-RD3680SU3)
