The product has poor quality plastic which is not fixed to the metal parts, and if forced during insertion into place or screwing, it separates and the internal circuit with the wires becomes visible.... Additionally, the stabilizing screws are incredibly inconvenient (they cannot be gripped with fingers) and you can only tighten them with needle-nose pliers.
On the other hand, the price is low, but it also needs to work for the purpose you bought it. IK

Very poor quality, totally Chinese. Attention: it converts HDMI to VGA, not the other way around. If you want to use it, for example, on a graphics card to output HDMI, it will never work. Only for a monitor that has VGA and you want to give it an HDMI signal.

This particular adapter is especially useful if you have old monitors that you want to connect to new devices. Please note that this converts HDMI to VGA, so you will also need an HDMI cable.

I have had it for about half a year and it works perfectly. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can connect wired speakers/headphones, although this is not necessary since HDMI on its own can carry audio. However, I am not giving it 5 stars because it is difficult to screw/unscrew due to its shape, which leaves very little room for the screws.

I give it one star because you just struggle to connect it because the cables are like this and that.. But for the money, we’re not discussing it, it does its job just fine.

Connected mini PC (hdmi) to an older monitor (vga) worked perfectly and even at the maximum image resolution normally, in short, it's worth its money and more.

Unfortunately, it never worked, I don't know if it was our fault or the converter's as other adapters also didn't work and we ultimately used a completely different port to achieve the connection.

It does the job on any screen/TV when you connect it with an HDMI cable to provide an image.
I would prefer the adapter to be a bit longer so that it can be easily screwed and unscrewed, and to be a bit thicker. For this reason, I give it 4 stars.

It played directly from the laptop using an HDMI cable to a VGA monitor. Flawless with no interruptions on the screen during 8 hours of continuous use.

The watermelon is garbage. I bought it to connect to a small PC screen that I had for my Android TV box since it doesn't have HDMI to use it as a TV in my caravan, but the screen keeps flickering or showing nothing while the image is being displayed. I changed the resolution and refresh rate of the TV box to the lowest possible and still nothing happens. Sometimes it stabilizes for a while and then starts flickering again. I tried it on 4 different computer screens of different brands (just in case the screen was the issue) and it does the same thing on all 4. It works perfectly fine on my computer screen that has HDMI. Waste of 7€.

Update 14/10/21, it works fine for a while with my 2.1 switch, and even though I made a change and connected it to my LG screen, which greeted me a few days ago. Here is the proof through photos!

I plugged it into an 18-year-old LG because the HDMI port is broken and cannot be repaired, so I ended up with this adapter. I connected the HDMI cable to its port and then to the switch, as I had it before, and it works perfectly fine.

In terms of quality, it's decent, and the only thing I cared about was that it doesn't have interruptions and provides a clear image.

Note: I didn't use it for sound to see if it produces good sound or not because the sound comes directly from my devices to my speakers.

For one of the few times I use it on this TV, it's very good.

Something that no one mentioned is that it is a bulky converter. It would be perfect if it was made at a 90-degree angle like a gamma. Unfortunately, not all screens have the input directly behind the screen. It may be on the side or below, like mine. Either way, I have made makeshift bases from rolls of tape to elevate the screen in order to accommodate the converter. I have a DVI to HDMI converter that is half the size, so this VGA to HDMI one is quite bulky. Also, bulky means more weight, which ultimately affects the connection of the screen. If you find something better and smaller in size or more user-friendly, go for it. After 5 days of use, I notice that the screen constantly flickers. It's really frustrating! Update: I tried another converter purchased in Poland and it works without flickering. So, the component has a problem.

It was installed on a Philips 19" wide screen purchased in 2008, connected to the laptop as a second monitor with an HDMI cable without any issues. The Win10 recognized it and applied optimal resolution settings. It does what you bought it to do!

So far, very good! I use it daily for about 1.5 months with two different screens (which means I remove it and put it back 2-3 times a day). I have no issues. The quality of materials is better than I expected, especially for its price.
