Description

The IK Multimedia iRig 2 external audio interface connects guitars, basses and other instruments via a 6.35 mm input, and sends the signal to an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac via a 3.5 mm TRRS connection. The 6.35 mm output lets you connect to an external amplifier without an adapter, while the headphone output is 3.5 mm. The two-position switch selects FX or THRU mode, and the signal level is adjusted using the built-in control.

The interface comes with a Velcro strip and a detachable microphone stand mount with a Velcro slot. AmpliTube for iOS is available as a free download from the App Store.

    It is the best for those who want to connect a guitar, a sound console, DJ decks, or any audio device to their mobile phone. I have 3 iRig 2 and I use them daily. It is the suitable tool for these tasks. But it is for MOBILE-smartphone only. I would not recommend anyone to use it as an external sound card for their computer. If you want a sound card for your computer, then this is not what you are looking for.

    Tip: If your mobile phone does not have a headphone jack, then I recommend buying only Belkin adapters because they have the best input quality.
