Theater in School is a multidimensional concept that appears in various forms and ways: sometimes as physical expression and non-verbal communication, at other times as spontaneous play, and more commonly as a complex artistic creation, it is organically integrated into the educational system.
The educator who is called to take on the role of the facilitator and director, the artist educator and the inspired teacher, in order to meet the demands placed each time and at every level by their engagement with this specific subject, must possess scientific training and pedagogical sensitivity, theatrical experience, and experiential knowledge.
The aim of this volume is to highlight the educational mission and the aesthetic emotion that theater evokes in students of all grades, to analyze the parameters of a special didactics of the subject, and to propose views for the revision of cultural events in schools, already early articulated by the thought of a visionary educator, Miltos Kountouras.
