Description

Description

"Persuasive Speech, topics of contemporary concern" is a continuation of volumes A and B. It is a new standalone book, not a supplement to the previous volumes.

It consists of eight major thematic sections: Natural Environment, Health, Technology, Mass Media, Human Rights, Freedom and Democracy, Violence, Education, Culture and Training. These are the sections from which topics are usually drawn for the Panhellenic Examinations. It contains new original topics and common topics that are re-examined from a new perspective.

Emphasis is placed on the definition and analysis of concepts, so that they are understood by the student. A good understanding of the concepts is essential for creative writing, for precise, clear, and well-documented speech, for the logical organization of knowledge, ideas, and arguments developed.

Emphasis is also placed on combined topics, proving the relationship between concepts, substantiating positions, adequately developing topics, and well-structured speech, with unity, sequence, and coherence, without the fragmentariness and discontinuity of diagrams. Special attention is also given to the originality of thoughts and ideas, clarity, variety of expressive means and linguistic choices, and elegance where necessary.

Each thematic section contains evaluation criteria with answers to their topics, according to the new examination method of Modern Greek Language and Literature, for the consolidation of the material and the (self)assessment of the student.

At the end of the book, coded notes are added as an appendix, useful for answering the topics posed in the examinations.
