  • Super quality. Have it isolating two pv inverters from remainder of LAN, just in case of manufacturer overreaching.

A few words about the product, for beginners like me:

    • High-quality metal construction, no comparison to lower-priced plastic switches.
    • I chose this specific one in order to be able to set a specific bandwidth for certain ports. It does that and you can set any value you want (see relevant image from the web interface).
    • If you pay attention, each port has two LEDs. One green and one yellow. Green = 1Gbps while yellow = 10/100Mbps. This helped me realize that there was a problem with a long Ethernet cable of 60+ meters that I hadn't terminated correctly.
    • If you initially have trouble accessing the web interface with an IP, like I did, there is also the Easy Smart Configuration Utility (for Windows) that you can download from the TP-LINK website and it gives you access to the settings.

Finally, it is managed. At a basic level, but it does the job just fine. We will see with the passage of time
