    It produces wines with intense tannins, full body, and characteristic aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry), often with notes of cedar, mint, or tobacco. They have excellent aging potential.

    Merlot

    It gives wines with soft tannins, medium acidity, and aromas of red fruits (cherry, plum), often with notes of herbs or chocolate. They are rounder and softer on the palate compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.

    Petit Verdot

    It offers intense color, strong tannins, and aromas of black fruits, violet, and spices, usually in blends.

Since its first release in 1998, it has impressed the wine world, as it is an exceptional Margaux. Today, 40% of the Chateau's production is sold as Alter Ego de Palmer.
