See full descriptionSikaflex®-295 UV is a one-component polyurethane adhesive with paste consistency that cures upon contact with atmospheric moisture. It is suitable for both interior and exterior sealing applications and for bonding organic glass in the shipbuilding industry. Sikaflex®-295 UV meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The Sikaflex®-295 UV is specifically designed for the shipbuilding industry, where it is used for bonding and sealing plastic glazing in boats and ships. Thanks to its excellent resistance to environmental aging, it can be used for sealing joints on exposed surfaces. Suitable application substrates include: aluminum (chromated or anodized), GRP (polyester resins), stainless steel, wood, 2-component paints, and plastic glazing (PC, PMMA). Refer to the manufacturer's instructions and conduct tests on actual substrates before using Sikaflex®-295 UV on materials prone to cracking. The product is suitable for use by professional applicators. Tests should be conducted with the actual substrates and prevailing application conditions to ensure the quality of adhesion and material compatibility.
