Purchased to replace a similar dimmer, it does its job just fine without issues. It retains the dimmed setting it had when the switch was turned off for the next time it is turned on. Compared to the similar device, this one just needs 1-2 seconds to turn on the LED, while the previous similar device had instant lighting.

Additional information: When the power is turned on and off, it retains its setting whether On or Off and the light level, meaning if you left it On before the power went out, it remains On when the power is restored, and vice versa.

I haven't seen if the battery of the remote control is to blame, but even if that's the case, for its use, it shouldn't have stopped functioning.
