The process was easy. Visually the result is excellent, but in practice we’ll have to wait about a year to see. For now I’m giving it 5/5 because I liked how it applied, although the classic, in these products, “vague” instructions bring it down to 4/5.
1- I parked the car in the shade and let the outside temperature drop a bit. This was so the coating wouldn’t dry too quickly and leave streaks of material.
2- I opened the hood.
- I didn’t mask with tape; the instructions don’t say anything about that anyway. However, it might have been better to mask so I’d be sure that with the sponge I was covering the edges of the headlight properly.
3- On the already de-fogged and clean headlights, I now cleaned them with 95° alcohol and dried them.
4- I shook the bottle very well,
5- I put on gloves even though the instructions don’t say so, and I recommend it.
6- I wrapped the cloth around the sponge and added a few drops of liquid each time.
- The million-dollar question everyone is looking for is which surface on the sponge is the correct one. To me, the “correct” one seemed to be the one that looks like hard felt; anyway, with the cloth on that side of the sponge, the application on the headlights was good and even. I don’t know about the other side.
- I applied it crosswise, not in circles, first vertically and then horizontally without leaving gaps.
- I noticed that while working I had to keep my face away from the vertical line of the cloth because the liquid is volatile and perhaps irritating, so be careful when the job is done in an enclosed space.
7- I waited 9 minutes at an ambient temperature of 29°C.
- The instructions say “5-10 minutes.” The advice online, “the waiting time is relative, it’s better to rub when the surface shows iridescence as if it had oil on it,” didn’t help me because, in my case, the surface of the headlight, when viewed at an angle, had from the start of the application some barely noticeable iridescence that stayed the same throughout the waiting time.
- The issue of when to polish is real. The instructions (I’m translating from English) say “wait 5-10 minutes, once it dries polish with a microfiber cloth.” What does “dries” mean? How do you tell that with a completely transparent liquid where you must not touch the surface? Is the suggested waiting time enough? Or, regardless of how much time has passed, does it ultimately need to feel “dry” to the touch? If it isn’t dry, and we end up waiting 20 minutes to polish, are we okay? Maybe I, who polished at the maximum of the recommended time, as the instructions say, actually wiped off the liquid? We’ll find out in a year.
8- I folded a clean microfiber cloth in half and used one side to polish the headlights without pressing.
9- I waited 30 minutes as the instructions say and applied another coat.
10- I waited another 9 minutes, changed the side of the microfiber cloth, and polished again.
Online they say not to let water get on the headlights for 24 hours, and not to wash them for a total of 7 days with chemicals or soaps, but if necessary only with plain water without pressure or rubbing. The instructions simply say “for 7 days do not wash the headlights with chemicals,” take your pick.
Η διαδικασία ήταν εύκολη. Οπτικά το αποτέλεσμα άριστο, αλλά στην πράξη πρέπει να περιμένουμε κανα χρόνο να δούμε. Προς το παρόν βάζω 5/5 γιατί μου άρεσε στην εφαρμογή αν και οι κλασικά, σε αυτά τα προϊόντα, "αόριστες" οδηγίες το κατεβάζουν στο 4/5.
1- Έβαλα το αυτοκίνητο στον ίσκιο και το άφησα λίγο να πέσει η εξωτερική θερμοκρασία του. Αυτό για να μην στεγνώνει γρήγορα η επάλειψη και μένουν γραμμές υλικού.
2- Σήκωσα το καπό.
- Δεν μασκάρισα με ταινία, οι οδηγιες πάντως δεν λένε κάτι τέτοιο. Όμως ίσως να ήταν καλύτερα να μασκάρω για να είμαι σίγουρος ότι με το σφουγγαράκι περνάω καλά τις άκρες στο φανάρι.
3- Στα ξεθολωμένα και ήδη καθαρά φανάρια, τώρα τα καθάρισα με οινόπνευμα 95° και τα στέγνωσα.
4- Ανακίνησα το μπουκαλάκι πολύ καλά,
5- Έβαλα γάντια ενώ δεν το λένε οι οδηγίες, και το προτείνω.
6- Τύλιξα το πανάκι στο σφουγγαράκι και του έριχνα μερικές σταγόνες υγρού κάθε φορά.
- Η ερώτηση του ενός εκατομμυρίου που ψάχνουν όλοι είναι το ποια επιφάνεια στο σφουγγαράκι είναι η σωστή. Εμένα "σωστή" μου φάνηκε αυτή που μοιάζει με σκληρός κετσές, πάντως με το πανάκι πάνω σε αυτή την πλευρά του σφουγγαριού η επάλειψη στα φανάρια έγινε καλή και στρωτή, για την άλλη πλευρά δεν ξέρω.
- Έκανα την επάλειψη σταυρωτά, όχι κυκλικά, πρώτα κατακόρυφα και μετά οριζόντια χωρίς να αφήνω κενά.
- Παρατήρησα ότι δουλεύοντας έπρεπε να έχω το πρόσωπο έξω από την κατακόρυφο στο πανάκι γιατί το υγρό είναι πτητικό ίσως και ερεθιστικό, άρα προσοχή όταν η δουλειά γίνεται σε κλειστό χώρο.
7- Περίμενα 9 λεπτά σε θερμοκρασία καιρού 29°C.
- Οι οδηγίες λένε "5-10 λεπτά". Η συμβουλή στο διαδίκτυο "ο χρόνος αναμονής είναι σχετικός, καλύτερα να τρίψεις όταν η επιφάνεια βγάλει ιριδισμούς σαν να έχει πετρέλαίο", δεν με βοήθησε γιατί, στη δική μου περίπτωση, η επιφάνεια του φαναριού όταν την κοιτούσες υπό γωνία είχε από την αρχή της επάλειψης κάτι ανεπαίσθητους ιριδισμούς που έμειναν ίδιοι σε όλο τον χρόνο αναμονής.
- Το θέμα στο πότε γυαλίζουμε είναι υπαρκτό. Οι οδηγίες (μεταφράζω από τα αγγλικά) λένε "περιμένετε για 5-10 λεπτά, άπαξ και στεγνώσει γυαλίστε με ένα πανί μικροϊνών". Τι εννοεί "στεγνώσει"; Πως το καταλαβαίνεις αυτό σε ένα τελείως διάφανο υγρό όπου δεν πρέπει να ακουμπήσεις την επιφάνεια; Αρκεί ο προτεινόμενος χρόνος αναμονής; Μήπως, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσος χρόνος πέρασε, πρέπει τελικά να δείχνει "στεγνό" στην αφή; Αν δεν είναι στεγνό, και τελικά φτάσουμε στα 20 λεπτά αναμονής για να γυαλίσουμε, είμαστε οκ; Μήπως εγώ που γυάλισα στο μέγιστο του προτεινόμενου χρόνου, που λένε οι οδηγίες, στην ουσία σκούπισα το υγρό; Θα μάθουμε σε ένα χρόνο.
8- Δίπλωσα στα δύο ένα καθαρό πανί μικροϊνών και με τη μία πλευρά γυάλισα τα φανάρια χωρίς να πιέζω.
9- Περίμενα 30 λεπτά όπως λένε οι οδηγίες και επανέλαβα ένα ακόμη χέρι.
10- Περίμενα πάλι 9 λεπτά, άλλαξα πλευρά στο μικροϊνών και ξαναγυάλισα.
Στο διαδίκτυο λένε να μην πέσουν νερά στα φανάρια για 24 ώρες, και, να μην πλυθούν για σύνολο 7 μέρες με χημικά ή σαπούνια, αλλά στην ανάγκη μόνο με σκέτο νερό χωρίς πίεση ή τριβή. Οι οδηγίες λένε απλώς "για 7 ημέρες μην πλύνετε τα φανάρια με χημικά", διαλέγετε και παίρνετε.
An essential step after a full sanding process (400 dry if the headlights are not too bad, go straight to 600 and then with soapy water 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) and the K2 Lamp Doctor polish with a screw-on sponge on a Parkside 20V screwdriver (1400-1500 RPM). After cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, I applied K2 Lamp Protect in two coats, waiting 5-6 minutes for each, and wiped with a new microfiber cloth. I have done two cars (one recently and the other 6+ months ago) and they are like new. The manufacturer says it lasts 1 year. The good thing is that after a year, you do not need to repeat the whole same sanding process again. You just do one pass with the polish, clean it, and apply the Lamp Protect again.
Απαραίτητο βήμα μετά από πλήρη διαδικασία με γυαλόχαρτα (400 ξερό αν δεν είναι πολύ χάλια τα φανάρια πάτε απευθείας στο 600άρι και μετά με σαπουνόνερο 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) και την αλοιφή K2 Lamp Doctor με βιδωτό σφουγγάρι σε βιδολόγο Parkside 20V (1400-1500 RPM). Αφού καθάρισα με ισοπροπυλική αλκοόλη, πέρασα το K2 Lamp Protect δύο χέρια, με 5-6 λεπτά αναμονής στο καθένα, και σκούπισα με καινούργιο πανί μικροϊνών. Έχω κάνει δύο αμάξια (το ένα πρόσφατα και το αλλο πριν 6+ μήνες) και είναι σαν καινούργια. Ο κατασκευαστής λέει ότι κρατάει 1 χρόνο. Το καλό είναι ότι μετά τον χρόνο, δεν θέλει ξανά όλη την ίδια διαδικασία με τα γυαλόχαρτα. Κάνεις απλώς ένα πέρασμα με την αλοιφή, καθάρισμα και ξαναβάζεις το Lamp Protect.

With proper use according to the instructions, it lasted less than a year, cleaning and reapplication were done again and again it did not last even with 3 coats. Give the corresponding money to a body shop that will apply proper protection and you will have peace of mind for years

So, steps I took on a car that had been outside in the sun for 25 years.
-Sanding with: 800-1,200-2,000-2,500-3,000 grit, all wet.
-Good cleaning with pure alcohol or general-purpose car cleaning spray (not just any cleaner) after the sandpaper.
-Polishes: I used one that came in a kit I had bought, then I used coarse Meguiar's (ultimate compound) and then again with Meguiar's fine polish for finishing (ultimate polish).
-Good cleaning, the waxes with clean cloths of course, etc.
-And finally, I applied K2 in two coats.
The results are amazing but you have to know what you're doing... K2 is for sealing... Not for polishing, etc., but for protection AFTER you do all the above steps.
The results speak for themselves.
For such a job and such a burnt headlight, it took me about 4 - 4.5 hours in a covered garage (you shouldn't work on hot surfaces or in the sun).
It's a nice DIY if you're not bored... If you don't do all these steps you might cause damage and it's better to have someone else do it for you!
Λοιπον βήματα που εκανα σε αμαξι που ηταν 25 χρονια εξω στον ηλιο.
-Τριψιμο με:800-1.200-2000-2.500-3000 νερού όλα.
-Καλός καθαρισμος με καθαρό οινοπνευμα ή καθαριστικο σπρει γενικης χρησης αυτοκινητου (οχι οτι να ναι καθαριστικο) μετα τα γυαλοχαρτα.
-Αλοιφές εγω εβαλα μια που ειχε μεσα ενα κιτ που ειχα παρει και μετα εκοψα με χοντρη meguairs (ultimate compound) και μετα πάλι με meguairs την λεπτη για σβησιμο (ultimate polish).
-Καλο καθαρισμα τα κερια με καθαρα πανια εννοειται κλπ
-Και τελος το k2 το περασα δυο χερια.
Τρομερα τα αποτελεσματα αλλα πρεπει να ξερεις και τι κανεις...Το k2 ειναι για σφραγισμα...Οχι για γυαλισμα κλπ αλλα για προστασια ΑΦΟΥ κανεις ολα αυτα που προανεφερα.
Τα αποτελεσματα μιλανε απο μονα τους.
Για τετοια δουλεια και τοσο καμενο φαναρι εφαγα περιπου 4 - 4.30 ώρες σε κλειστη πυλωτη (δεν πρεπει να δουλευτει σε ζεστες επιφανειες ή στον ηλιο).
Ειναι ωραιο diy αν δεν βαριεσαι...Αν δεν τα κανετε ολα αυτα τα βηματα μπορει να κανετε ζημιά και καλυτερα να πατε να σας το κανουν!
After sanding with sandpaper and applying several coats with headlight polish (I did the same with the motorcycle windshield),
you apply two layers and it really keeps the shine for quite a while.

After using the lamp doctor from K2 (headlight polishing cream), I applied the varnish and they looked nice. Time will tell how durable it is and how much it lasts. For now, I am completely satisfied.

I stored it together with 2 other k2 products that I had in my order in a warehouse away from sunlight and heat. When I opened it to use it, it was solidified and useless. I will prefer a spray varnish next time. I don't know if it's the skroutz point that is in the sun and all the products were hot when I received them, or if the product was already expired, but for me it was 4€ wasted and a bad experience that I will not repeat.
Το αποθήκευσα μαζί με άλλα 2 προϊόντα της k2 που είχα στην παραγγελία σε αποθήκη μακριά από ήλιο και ζέστη. Όταν το άνοιξα να το χρησιμοποιήσω ήταν στερεοποιημένο και άχρηστο. Θα προτιμήσω ένα βερνίκι σε σπρέι την επόμενη φορά. Δεν ξέρω αν φταίει το skroutz point που είναι μέσα στον ήλιο και όλα τα προϊόντα ήταν ζεστά όταν τα παρέλαβα, ή το προϊόν ήταν ήδη ληγμένο, αλλά για μένα ήταν 4€ πεταμένα και μια κακή εμπειρία που δε θα επαναλάβω.
2 stars because after three months of use, the headlights started to turn yellow again and after washing the car, the headlights easily scratched by hand. The varnish is very soft. I tried it out and after 2 minutes of using it with a simple cloth, it has become fantastic. I highly recommend it and I would buy it again, but I don't know about the blue sponge and how to apply the varnish.

There are no instructions on how to use this blue sponge and from which side. I rubbed the headlights with sandpaper gradually from No 400 to 2500 and for a long time. Then I applied K2. The yellowing did go away but there remained a very slight haze that doesn't make them look like new.
Δεν υπαρχουν οδηγίες για το πως χρησιμοποιειται αυτο το μπλε σφουγγαρακι και απο ποια πλευρα του. Τα φαναρια τα ετριψα με νερογυαλοχαρτα απο Νο 400 σταδιακα εως 2500 και αρκετη ωρα. Μετα εφάρμοσα το Κ2. Η κιτρινιλα μεν εφυγε αλλα παρεμεινε μια πολυ ελαφρα θαμπαδα που δεν τα κανει να φαινονται σαν καινουργια.
The product is for PROTECTION and not for cleaning the headlight. After you finish the cleaning process, you apply a "coat" and if you want, a second one after 30 minutes. If you want to clean, you need another product. I recommend the Arexons for 4€.
Το προϊόν είναι για ΠΡΟΣΤΑΣΊΑ και όχι καθαρισμό του φαναριού. Όταν έχετε τελειώσει την διαδικασία του καθαρισμού περνάτε ένα "χέρι" και άμα θέλετε ένα δεύτερο μετά από 30 λεπτά. Άμα θέλετε για καθαρισμό χρειάζεστε άλλο προϊόν. Σας προτείνω το arexons των 4€.
The varnish is very good, at least in terms of immediate visible results, but something tells me that it will do what it promises. Well, my headlights were in a terrible condition, which I managed to improve to a good extent with sandpaper and polish, but what really made them shine was after 4 applications of the K2. You might ask why 4? That's how many it took until it finished. So it definitely lasts for several applications. It is easy to use by following the instructions found in the packaging or through the company's video. Edit: Although it claims to be scratch-resistant, I am in an unpleasant position to say that it scratches relatively easily after washing with a hard sponge.
Το βερνίκι είναι πάρα πολύ καλό τουλάχιστον το άμεσο ορατό αποτέλεσμα αλλά κάτι μου λέει ότι θα κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται. Λοιπόν τα φανάρια μου ήταν σε άθλια κατάσταση τα οποία με γυαλοχαρτα και αλοιφές ήρθαν σε ένα καλό ποσοστό εκεί όμως που γυαλισαν πραγματικά ήταν μετα από 4 εφαρμογές του κ2. Θα μου πείτε γιατί 4? Τόσες έφτασε μέχρι να τελειώσει. Άρα σίγουρα φτάνει για αρκετές εφαρμογές. Είναι εύκολο στην χρήση του ακολουθώντας η τις οδηγίες χρήσεως που βρίσκονται στην συσκευασία η μέσω βίντεο της εταιρείας.
Edit: Αν και λέει ότι αντέχει γρατσουνιές είμαι σε δυσάρεστη θέση να πω ότι γρατσουνιεται σχετικά εύκολα μετά από πλύσιμο με σκληρό σφουγγάρι.

Easy to use, if it lasts a few months then it will be perfect. After using it for a month, it's definitely worth its money.

Παρα πολυ καλο,κανει καινουργια τα φαναρια, αρκει πρωτα να τα κανεις με γυαλοχαρτα νερου. Και μετα το περνας και γινονται καινουργια. Τα εκανα και φανταστικο αποτελςσμα. Θα βαλω και φωτο.
The lights were replaced and the varnish was applied instead of the cream following the instructions on the box.
Overall, it's good quality, exactly what you expect from a varnish.
Now, how long it will last is another matter.
Τρίφτηκαν τα φανάρια και εφαρμόστηκε το βερνίκι αντί αλοιφής με τις οδηγίες του κουτιού.
Κομπλέ, ωραία γιαλάδα, ότι περιμένεις από βερνίκι.
Τώρα το πόσο θα κρατήσει, άλλο θέμα.
The process was easy. Visually the result is excellent, but in practice we’ll have to wait about a year to see. For now I’m giving it 5/5 because I liked how it applied, although the classic, in these products, “vague” instructions bring it down to 4/5.
1- I parked the car in the shade and let the outside temperature drop a bit. This was so the coating wouldn’t dry too quickly and leave streaks of material.
2- I opened the hood.
- I didn’t mask with tape; the instructions don’t say anything about that anyway. However, it might have been better to mask so I’d be sure that with the sponge I was covering the edges of the headlight properly.
3- On the already de-fogged and clean headlights, I now cleaned them with 95° alcohol and dried them.
4- I shook the bottle very well,
5- I put on gloves even though the instructions don’t say so, and I recommend it.
6- I wrapped the cloth around the sponge and added a few drops of liquid each time.
- The million-dollar question everyone is looking for is which surface on the sponge is the correct one. To me, the “correct” one seemed to be the one that looks like hard felt; anyway, with the cloth on that side of the sponge, the application on the headlights was good and even. I don’t know about the other side.
- I applied it crosswise, not in circles, first vertically and then horizontally without leaving gaps.
- I noticed that while working I had to keep my face away from the vertical line of the cloth because the liquid is volatile and perhaps irritating, so be careful when the job is done in an enclosed space.
7- I waited 9 minutes at an ambient temperature of 29°C.
- The instructions say “5-10 minutes.” The advice online, “the waiting time is relative, it’s better to rub when the surface shows iridescence as if it had oil on it,” didn’t help me because, in my case, the surface of the headlight, when viewed at an angle, had from the start of the application some barely noticeable iridescence that stayed the same throughout the waiting time.
- The issue of when to polish is real. The instructions (I’m translating from English) say “wait 5-10 minutes, once it dries polish with a microfiber cloth.” What does “dries” mean? How do you tell that with a completely transparent liquid where you must not touch the surface? Is the suggested waiting time enough? Or, regardless of how much time has passed, does it ultimately need to feel “dry” to the touch? If it isn’t dry, and we end up waiting 20 minutes to polish, are we okay? Maybe I, who polished at the maximum of the recommended time, as the instructions say, actually wiped off the liquid? We’ll find out in a year.
8- I folded a clean microfiber cloth in half and used one side to polish the headlights without pressing.
9- I waited 30 minutes as the instructions say and applied another coat.
10- I waited another 9 minutes, changed the side of the microfiber cloth, and polished again.
Online they say not to let water get on the headlights for 24 hours, and not to wash them for a total of 7 days with chemicals or soaps, but if necessary only with plain water without pressure or rubbing. The instructions simply say “for 7 days do not wash the headlights with chemicals,” take your pick.

3- Στα ξεθολωμένα και ήδη καθαρά φανάρια, τώρα τα καθάρισα με οινόπνευμα 95° και τα στέγνωσα.
4- Ανακίνησα το μπουκαλάκι πολύ καλά,
5- Έβαλα γάντια ενώ δεν το λένε οι οδηγίες, και το προτείνω.
6- Τύλιξα το πανάκι στο σφουγγαράκι και του έριχνα μερικές σταγόνες υγρού κάθε φορά.
- Η ερώτηση του ενός εκατομμυρίου που ψάχνουν όλοι είναι το ποια επιφάνεια στο σφουγγαράκι είναι η σωστή. Εμένα "σωστή" μου φάνηκε αυτή που μοιάζει με σκληρός κετσές, πάντως με το πανάκι πάνω σε αυτή την πλευρά του σφουγγαριού η επάλειψη στα φανάρια έγινε καλή και στρωτή, για την άλλη πλευρά δεν ξέρω.
- Έκανα την επάλειψη σταυρωτά, όχι κυκλικά, πρώτα κατακόρυφα και μετά οριζόντια χωρίς να αφήνω κενά.
- Παρατήρησα ότι δουλεύοντας έπρεπε να έχω το πρόσωπο έξω από την κατακόρυφο στο πανάκι γιατί το υγρό είναι πτητικό ίσως και ερεθιστικό, άρα προσοχή όταν η δουλειά γίνεται σε κλειστό χώρο.
7- Περίμενα 9 λεπτά σε θερμοκρασία καιρού 29°C.
- Οι οδηγίες λένε "5-10 λεπτά". Η συμβουλή στο διαδίκτυο "ο χρόνος αναμονής είναι σχετικός, καλύτερα να τρίψεις όταν η επιφάνεια βγάλει ιριδισμούς σαν να έχει πετρέλαίο", δεν με βοήθησε γιατί, στη δική μου περίπτωση, η επιφάνεια του φαναριού όταν την κοιτούσες υπό γωνία είχε από την αρχή της επάλειψης κάτι ανεπαίσθητους ιριδισμούς που έμειναν ίδιοι σε όλο τον χρόνο αναμονής.
- Το θέμα στο πότε γυαλίζουμε είναι υπαρκτό. Οι οδηγίες (μεταφράζω από τα αγγλικά) λένε "περιμένετε για 5-10 λεπτά, άπαξ και στεγνώσει γυαλίστε με ένα πανί μικροϊνών". Τι εννοεί "στεγνώσει"; Πως το καταλαβαίνεις αυτό σε ένα τελείως διάφανο υγρό όπου δεν πρέπει να ακουμπήσεις την επιφάνεια; Αρκεί ο προτεινόμενος χρόνος αναμονής; Μήπως, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσος χρόνος πέρασε, πρέπει τελικά να δείχνει "στεγνό" στην αφή; Αν δεν είναι στεγνό, και τελικά φτάσουμε στα 20 λεπτά αναμονής για να γυαλίσουμε, είμαστε οκ; Μήπως εγώ που γυάλισα στο μέγιστο του προτεινόμενου χρόνου, που λένε οι οδηγίες, στην ουσία σκούπισα το υγρό; Θα μάθουμε σε ένα χρόνο.

Στο διαδίκτυο λένε να μην πέσουν νερά στα φανάρια για 24 ώρες, και, να μην πλυθούν για σύνολο 7 μέρες με χημικά ή σαπούνια, αλλά στην ανάγκη μόνο με σκέτο νερό χωρίς πίεση ή τριβή. Οι οδηγίες λένε απλώς "για 7 ημέρες μην πλύνετε τα φανάρια με χημικά", διαλέγετε και παίρνετε.
An essential step after a full sanding process (400 dry if the headlights are not too bad, go straight to 600 and then with soapy water 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) and the K2 Lamp Doctor polish with a screw-on sponge on a Parkside 20V screwdriver (1400-1500 RPM). After cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, I applied K2 Lamp Protect in two coats, waiting 5-6 minutes for each, and wiped with a new microfiber cloth. I have done two cars (one recently and the other 6+ months ago) and they are like new. The manufacturer says it lasts 1 year. The good thing is that after a year, you do not need to repeat the whole same sanding process again. You just do one pass with the polish, clean it, and apply the Lamp Protect again.
Απαραίτητο βήμα μετά από πλήρη διαδικασία με γυαλόχαρτα (400 ξερό αν δεν είναι πολύ χάλια τα φανάρια πάτε απευθείας στο 600άρι και μετά με σαπουνόνερο 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) και την αλοιφή K2 Lamp Doctor με βιδωτό σφουγγάρι σε βιδολόγο Parkside 20V (1400-1500 RPM). Αφού καθάρισα με ισοπροπυλική αλκοόλη, πέρασα το K2 Lamp Protect δύο χέρια, με 5-6 λεπτά αναμονής στο καθένα, και σκούπισα με καινούργιο πανί μικροϊνών. Έχω κάνει δύο αμάξια (το ένα πρόσφατα και το αλλο πριν 6+ μήνες) και είναι σαν καινούργια. Ο κατασκευαστής λέει ότι κρατάει 1 χρόνο. Το καλό είναι ότι μετά τον χρόνο, δεν θέλει ξανά όλη την ίδια διαδικασία με τα γυαλόχαρτα. Κάνεις απλώς ένα πέρασμα με την αλοιφή, καθάρισμα και ξαναβάζεις το Lamp Protect.

Καλησπέρα να ρωτήσω , Σε αυτοκίνητο που δεν εχει προβλημα θαμπάδας, μπορω να το βαλω για λόγους προστασίας απο τον ήλιο και να καθυστερήσει την φθορά η θα το κανω χειροτερο;
Καλησπέρα, Εφόσον δεν εχεις πρόβλημα θαμπάδας καλο ειναι να το πλύνεις καλα κι έπειτα να του περάσεις μια αλοιφη με ελαφρυ στάδιο να καθαρισει καλα απο επικαθησεις που δεν βλέπει το ματι μας.
Τοτε σφράγισε με αυτο το προϊόν (κατα λέξη του κατασκευαστή)άπλωσε το καλα με το applicator που δίνει και καθαρισε το με καλο buffing ωστε να μην έχεις θολουρα.Επειτα επανέλαβε τη διαδικασια όπως λεει ο κατασκευαστής... Και εισαι μια χαρά.

So, steps I took on a car that had been outside in the sun for 25 years.
-Sanding with: 800-1,200-2,000-2,500-3,000 grit, all wet.
-Good cleaning with pure alcohol or general-purpose car cleaning spray (not just any cleaner) after the sandpaper.
-Polishes: I used one that came in a kit I had bought, then I used coarse Meguiar's (ultimate compound) and then again with Meguiar's fine polish for finishing (ultimate polish).
-Good cleaning, the waxes with clean cloths of course, etc.
-And finally, I applied K2 in two coats.
The results are amazing but you have to know what you're doing... K2 is for sealing... Not for polishing, etc., but for protection AFTER you do all the above steps.
The results speak for themselves.
For such a job and such a burnt headlight, it took me about 4 - 4.5 hours in a covered garage (you shouldn't work on hot surfaces or in the sun).
It's a nice DIY if you're not bored... If you don't do all these steps you might cause damage and it's better to have someone else do it for you!

-Αλοιφές εγω εβαλα μια που ειχε μεσα ενα κιτ που ειχα παρει και μετα εκοψα με χοντρη meguairs (ultimate compound) και μετα πάλι με meguairs την λεπτη για σβησιμο (ultimate polish).
-Καλο καθαρισμα τα κερια με καθαρα πανια εννοειται κλπ
-Και τελος το k2 το περασα δυο χερια.
Τρομερα τα αποτελεσματα αλλα πρεπει να ξερεις και τι κανεις...Το k2 ειναι για σφραγισμα...Οχι για γυαλισμα κλπ αλλα για προστασια ΑΦΟΥ κανεις ολα αυτα που προανεφερα.
Τα αποτελεσματα μιλανε απο μονα τους.
Για τετοια δουλεια και τοσο καμενο φαναρι εφαγα περιπου 4 - 4.30 ώρες σε κλειστη πυλωτη (δεν πρεπει να δουλευτει σε ζεστες επιφανειες ή στον ηλιο).
Ειναι ωραιο diy αν δεν βαριεσαι...Αν δεν τα κανετε ολα αυτα τα βηματα μπορει να κανετε ζημιά και καλυτερα να πατε να σας το κανουν!
After sanding with sandpaper and applying several coats with headlight polish (I did the same with the motorcycle windshield),
you apply two layers and it really keeps the shine for quite a while.

After using the lamp doctor from K2 (headlight polishing cream), I applied the varnish and they looked nice. Time will tell how durable it is and how much it lasts. For now, I am completely satisfied.

I stored it together with 2 other k2 products that I had in my order in a warehouse away from sunlight and heat. When I opened it to use it, it was solidified and useless. I will prefer a spray varnish next time. I don't know if it's the skroutz point that is in the sun and all the products were hot when I received them, or if the product was already expired, but for me it was 4€ wasted and a bad experience that I will not repeat.
Το αποθήκευσα μαζί με άλλα 2 προϊόντα της k2 που είχα στην παραγγελία σε αποθήκη μακριά από ήλιο και ζέστη. Όταν το άνοιξα να το χρησιμοποιήσω ήταν στερεοποιημένο και άχρηστο. Θα προτιμήσω ένα βερνίκι σε σπρέι την επόμενη φορά. Δεν ξέρω αν φταίει το skroutz point που είναι μέσα στον ήλιο και όλα τα προϊόντα ήταν ζεστά όταν τα παρέλαβα, ή το προϊόν ήταν ήδη ληγμένο, αλλά για μένα ήταν 4€ πεταμένα και μια κακή εμπειρία που δε θα επαναλάβω.
2 stars because after three months of use, the headlights started to turn yellow again and after washing the car, the headlights easily scratched by hand. The varnish is very soft. I tried it out and after 2 minutes of using it with a simple cloth, it has become fantastic. I highly recommend it and I would buy it again, but I don't know about the blue sponge and how to apply the varnish.
Τό πήρα δοκιμαστικά και μετά από 2 δεκάλεπτα που τό πέρασα με ένα απλό κετσέ έχουνε γίνει φανταστικά το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα, θα το ξανά αγόρασα αλλά δεν ξέρω για το μπλε σφουγγαράκι τη χρήση του και πώς περνιέται το βερνίκι.
There are no instructions on how to use this blue sponge and from which side. I rubbed the headlights with sandpaper gradually from No 400 to 2500 and for a long time. Then I applied K2. The yellowing did go away but there remained a very slight haze that doesn't make them look like new.
Δεν υπαρχουν οδηγίες για το πως χρησιμοποιειται αυτο το μπλε σφουγγαρακι και απο ποια πλευρα του. Τα φαναρια τα ετριψα με νερογυαλοχαρτα απο Νο 400 σταδιακα εως 2500 και αρκετη ωρα. Μετα εφάρμοσα το Κ2. Η κιτρινιλα μεν εφυγε αλλα παρεμεινε μια πολυ ελαφρα θαμπαδα που δεν τα κανει να φαινονται σαν καινουργια.
The product is for PROTECTION and not for cleaning the headlight. After you finish the cleaning process, you apply a "coat" and if you want, a second one after 30 minutes. If you want to clean, you need another product. I recommend the Arexons for 4€.
Το προϊόν είναι για ΠΡΟΣΤΑΣΊΑ και όχι καθαρισμό του φαναριού. Όταν έχετε τελειώσει την διαδικασία του καθαρισμού περνάτε ένα "χέρι" και άμα θέλετε ένα δεύτερο μετά από 30 λεπτά. Άμα θέλετε για καθαρισμό χρειάζεστε άλλο προϊόν. Σας προτείνω το arexons των 4€.
The varnish is very good, at least in terms of immediate visible results, but something tells me that it will do what it promises. Well, my headlights were in a terrible condition, which I managed to improve to a good extent with sandpaper and polish, but what really made them shine was after 4 applications of the K2. You might ask why 4? That's how many it took until it finished. So it definitely lasts for several applications. Το βερνίκι είναι πάρα πολύ καλό τουλάχιστον το άμεσο ορατό αποτέλεσμα αλλά κάτι μου λέει ότι θα κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται. Λοιπόν τα φανάρια μου ήταν σε άθλια κατάσταση τα οποία με γυαλοχαρτα και αλοιφές ήρθαν σε ένα καλό ποσοστό εκεί όμως που γυαλισαν πραγματικά ήταν μετα από 4 εφαρμογές του κ2. Θα μου πείτε γιατί 4? Τόσες έφτασε μέχρι να τελειώσει. Άρα σίγουρα φτάνει για αρκετές εφαρμογές. Είναι εύκολο στην χρήση του ακολουθώντας η τις οδηγίες χρήσεως που βρίσκονται στην συσκευασία η μέσω βίντεο της εταιρείας.
Edit: Αν και λέει ότι αντέχει γρατσουνιές είμαι σε δυσάρεστη θέση να πω ότι γρατσουνιεται σχετικά εύκολα μετά από πλύσιμο με σκληρό σφουγγάρι.

The lights were replaced and the varnish was applied instead of the cream following the instructions on the box.
Overall, it's good quality, exactly what you expect from a varnish.
Now, how long it will last is another matter.

The process was easy. Visually the result is excellent, but in practice we’ll have to wait about a year to see. For now I’m giving it 5/5 because I liked how it applied, although the classic, in these products, “vague” instructions bring it down to 4/5.
1- I parked the car in the shade and let the outside temperature drop a bit. This was so the coating wouldn’t dry too quickly and leave streaks of material.
2- I opened the hood.
- I didn’t mask with tape; the instructions don’t say anything about that anyway. However, it might have been better to mask so I’d be sure that with the sponge I was covering the edges of the headlight properly.
3- On the already de-fogged and clean headlights, I now cleaned them with 95° alcohol and dried them.
4- I shook the bottle very well,
5- I put on gloves even though the instructions don’t say so, and I recommend it.
6- I wrapped the cloth around the sponge and added a few drops of liquid each time.
- The million-dollar question everyone is looking for is which surface on the sponge is the correct one. To me, the “correct” one seemed to be the one that looks like hard felt; anyway, with the cloth on that side of the sponge, the application on the headlights was good and even. I don’t know about the other side.
- I applied it crosswise, not in circles, first vertically and then horizontally without leaving gaps.
- I noticed that while working I had to keep my face away from the vertical line of the cloth because the liquid is volatile and perhaps irritating, so be careful when the job is done in an enclosed space.
7- I waited 9 minutes at an ambient temperature of 29°C.
- The instructions say “5-10 minutes.” The advice online, “the waiting time is relative, it’s better to rub when the surface shows iridescence as if it had oil on it,” didn’t help me because, in my case, the surface of the headlight, when viewed at an angle, had from the start of the application some barely noticeable iridescence that stayed the same throughout the waiting time.
- The issue of when to polish is real. The instructions (I’m translating from English) say “wait 5-10 minutes, once it dries polish with a microfiber cloth.” What does “dries” mean? How do you tell that with a completely transparent liquid where you must not touch the surface? Is the suggested waiting time enough? Or, regardless of how much time has passed, does it ultimately need to feel “dry” to the touch? If it isn’t dry, and we end up waiting 20 minutes to polish, are we okay? Maybe I, who polished at the maximum of the recommended time, as the instructions say, actually wiped off the liquid? We’ll find out in a year.
8- I folded a clean microfiber cloth in half and used one side to polish the headlights without pressing.
9- I waited 30 minutes as the instructions say and applied another coat.
10- I waited another 9 minutes, changed the side of the microfiber cloth, and polished again.
Online they say not to let water get on the headlights for 24 hours, and not to wash them for a total of 7 days with chemicals or soaps, but if necessary only with plain water without pressure or rubbing. The instructions simply say “for 7 days do not wash the headlights with chemicals,” take your pick.
Η διαδικασία ήταν εύκολη. Οπτικά το αποτέλεσμα άριστο, αλλά στην πράξη πρέπει να περιμένουμε κανα χρόνο να δούμε. Προς το παρόν βάζω 5/5 γιατί μου άρεσε στην εφαρμογή αν και οι κλασικά, σε αυτά τα προϊόντα, "αόριστες" οδηγίες το κατεβάζουν στο 4/5.
1- Έβαλα το αυτοκίνητο στον ίσκιο και το άφησα λίγο να πέσει η εξωτερική θερμοκρασία του. Αυτό για να μην στεγνώνει γρήγορα η επάλειψη και μένουν γραμμές υλικού.
2- Σήκωσα το καπό.
- Δεν μασκάρισα με ταινία, οι οδηγιες πάντως δεν λένε κάτι τέτοιο. Όμως ίσως να ήταν καλύτερα να μασκάρω για να είμαι σίγουρος ότι με το σφουγγαράκι περνάω καλά τις άκρες στο φανάρι.
3- Στα ξεθολωμένα και ήδη καθαρά φανάρια, τώρα τα καθάρισα με οινόπνευμα 95° και τα στέγνωσα.
4- Ανακίνησα το μπουκαλάκι πολύ καλά,
5- Έβαλα γάντια ενώ δεν το λένε οι οδηγίες, και το προτείνω.
6- Τύλιξα το πανάκι στο σφουγγαράκι και του έριχνα μερικές σταγόνες υγρού κάθε φορά.
- Η ερώτηση του ενός εκατομμυρίου που ψάχνουν όλοι είναι το ποια επιφάνεια στο σφουγγαράκι είναι η σωστή. Εμένα "σωστή" μου φάνηκε αυτή που μοιάζει με σκληρός κετσές, πάντως με το πανάκι πάνω σε αυτή την πλευρά του σφουγγαριού η επάλειψη στα φανάρια έγινε καλή και στρωτή, για την άλλη πλευρά δεν ξέρω.
- Έκανα την επάλειψη σταυρωτά, όχι κυκλικά, πρώτα κατακόρυφα και μετά οριζόντια χωρίς να αφήνω κενά.
- Παρατήρησα ότι δουλεύοντας έπρεπε να έχω το πρόσωπο έξω από την κατακόρυφο στο πανάκι γιατί το υγρό είναι πτητικό ίσως και ερεθιστικό, άρα προσοχή όταν η δουλειά γίνεται σε κλειστό χώρο.
7- Περίμενα 9 λεπτά σε θερμοκρασία καιρού 29°C.
- Οι οδηγίες λένε "5-10 λεπτά". Η συμβουλή στο διαδίκτυο "ο χρόνος αναμονής είναι σχετικός, καλύτερα να τρίψεις όταν η επιφάνεια βγάλει ιριδισμούς σαν να έχει πετρέλαίο", δεν με βοήθησε γιατί, στη δική μου περίπτωση, η επιφάνεια του φαναριού όταν την κοιτούσες υπό γωνία είχε από την αρχή της επάλειψης κάτι ανεπαίσθητους ιριδισμούς που έμειναν ίδιοι σε όλο τον χρόνο αναμονής.
- Το θέμα στο πότε γυαλίζουμε είναι υπαρκτό. Οι οδηγίες (μεταφράζω από τα αγγλικά) λένε "περιμένετε για 5-10 λεπτά, άπαξ και στεγνώσει γυαλίστε με ένα πανί μικροϊνών". Τι εννοεί "στεγνώσει"; Πως το καταλαβαίνεις αυτό σε ένα τελείως διάφανο υγρό όπου δεν πρέπει να ακουμπήσεις την επιφάνεια; Αρκεί ο προτεινόμενος χρόνος αναμονής; Μήπως, ανεξάρτητα από το πόσος χρόνος πέρασε, πρέπει τελικά να δείχνει "στεγνό" στην αφή; Αν δεν είναι στεγνό, και τελικά φτάσουμε στα 20 λεπτά αναμονής για να γυαλίσουμε, είμαστε οκ; Μήπως εγώ που γυάλισα στο μέγιστο του προτεινόμενου χρόνου, που λένε οι οδηγίες, στην ουσία σκούπισα το υγρό; Θα μάθουμε σε ένα χρόνο.
8- Δίπλωσα στα δύο ένα καθαρό πανί μικροϊνών και με τη μία πλευρά γυάλισα τα φανάρια χωρίς να πιέζω.
9- Περίμενα 30 λεπτά όπως λένε οι οδηγίες και επανέλαβα ένα ακόμη χέρι.
10- Περίμενα πάλι 9 λεπτά, άλλαξα πλευρά στο μικροϊνών και ξαναγυάλισα.
Στο διαδίκτυο λένε να μην πέσουν νερά στα φανάρια για 24 ώρες, και, να μην πλυθούν για σύνολο 7 μέρες με χημικά ή σαπούνια, αλλά στην ανάγκη μόνο με σκέτο νερό χωρίς πίεση ή τριβή. Οι οδηγίες λένε απλώς "για 7 ημέρες μην πλύνετε τα φανάρια με χημικά", διαλέγετε και παίρνετε.
An essential step after a full sanding process (400 dry if the headlights are not too bad, go straight to 600 and then with soapy water 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) and the K2 Lamp Doctor polish with a screw-on sponge on a Parkside 20V screwdriver (1400-1500 RPM). After cleaning with isopropyl alcohol, I applied K2 Lamp Protect in two coats, waiting 5-6 minutes for each, and wiped with a new microfiber cloth. I have done two cars (one recently and the other 6+ months ago) and they are like new. The manufacturer says it lasts 1 year. The good thing is that after a year, you do not need to repeat the whole same sanding process again. You just do one pass with the polish, clean it, and apply the Lamp Protect again.
Απαραίτητο βήμα μετά από πλήρη διαδικασία με γυαλόχαρτα (400 ξερό αν δεν είναι πολύ χάλια τα φανάρια πάτε απευθείας στο 600άρι και μετά με σαπουνόνερο 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000) και την αλοιφή K2 Lamp Doctor με βιδωτό σφουγγάρι σε βιδολόγο Parkside 20V (1400-1500 RPM). Αφού καθάρισα με ισοπροπυλική αλκοόλη, πέρασα το K2 Lamp Protect δύο χέρια, με 5-6 λεπτά αναμονής στο καθένα, και σκούπισα με καινούργιο πανί μικροϊνών. Έχω κάνει δύο αμάξια (το ένα πρόσφατα και το αλλο πριν 6+ μήνες) και είναι σαν καινούργια. Ο κατασκευαστής λέει ότι κρατάει 1 χρόνο. Το καλό είναι ότι μετά τον χρόνο, δεν θέλει ξανά όλη την ίδια διαδικασία με τα γυαλόχαρτα. Κάνεις απλώς ένα πέρασμα με την αλοιφή, καθάρισμα και ξαναβάζεις το Lamp Protect.

Με σωστή χρήση σύμφωνα με τις οδηγίες κράτησε λιγότερο από ένα χρόνο, έγινε πάλι καθαρισμός και επανάληψη και ξανά δεν κράτησε ακόμα και με 3 χέρια δώστε τα αντίστοιχα λευτά σε έναν φανοποιειο που θα σας βάλει σωστή προστασία και θα είσαστε ήσυχοι για χρόνια
