Description & Specifications

The cat, which was black and huge and fat, was lounging on the balcony purring and thinking about how nice it was to be there, lying on its back, with the warm rays on its belly, its four legs tucked in and its tail stretched out.

At the very moment it lazily turned its body to sunbathe its back as well, it heard the buzzing of some flying creature that it couldn't quite identify, approaching rapidly. It sprang up, planted itself firmly on its four paws, and barely managed to dart into a corner, avoiding the seagull that dropped onto its balcony. It had never seen a dirtier bird! Its whole body was soaked in a black substance that reeked.

A little seagull falls victim to marine pollution. Before it dies, it entrusts its egg to the good cat Zorba and asks for his promise that he will incubate the egg, won't eat the chick, and will teach it to fly. Zorba agrees. But is it really possible for a cat to teach a seagull to fly?

The most tender and sensitive book by Sepulveda, for both children and adults.
