I had bought 2 LED strip version 3 to put them in the kitchen under the high cabinets (inside aluminum profiles and protected from moisture and water). Very good in lighting and nice colors. One of them broke after 1 year, something I didn't expect for such price and reliability they claim. They replaced it with a new version 4 that is now available in the market. The quality of the plastics in version 4 is worse than the previous version I had. The connection for the circuit with the LED strip is really bad for such a high-value LED. The connection is very sensitive to bending or breaking if pressed somewhere by mistake. Overall, they have a very good performance in lighting, but for the value they have... it is unthinkable to have such material quality... especially in the latest version... I didn't expect this from Philips! It loses 2 stars in terms of reliability, which just happened to me, and the plug it has in the latest version, which is of Chinese LED quality. The lighting performance is great, that's why 3 stars!

When it comes to the power supply connector, the small flat connector with pins that connects from the square box to the strip is the most problematic thing I have encountered in decades in terms of technological and electrical products. Poor quality connector, with a problematic lock and susceptible to any movement.
I really wonder how they managed all this at Philips, in a system of this reliability and value.

Εχω βάλει σε V4 μέχρι 6 μέτρα (πρόσθεσα 4 προεκτάσεις του ενός) και λειτουργεί. Ομως έχει ρίξει λίγο την φωτεινότητα και αν την πας τέρμα ένταση το ζεσταίνει λίγο το τροφοδοτικό. Γενικά με τέτοιο κόστος θα έπρεπε να έχει τουλάχιστον 2 amper μέσα. Θα αντικαταστήσω με 24βολτο αλλά με 2 ή 3 amper. Ουτως η άλλως ΟΛΗ η λειτουργία αυτης της ταινίας είναι στο μικρό receiver. To βυσμα του τροφοδοτικού είναι νομίζω 5.5χ2.5.
Η ΜΟΝΗ ταινία που μπορεί να την κοντράρει ΚΑΠΩΣ είναι της TP LINK TAPO 930-5 η οποία έχει ανεξάρτητες ζώνες φωτισμού και αποχρώσεων και τα 5 μέτρα κοστίζουν 50-55 ευρώ.
Θα μπορέσω να την δουλέψω ως ambilight στο κατω τμήμα της τηλεόρασης μου ;;
Η tv μου ειναι στον τοιχο κ προβάλει ambilight πανω, αριστερα κ δεξια.

Το θέμα επίσης ειναι πως εαν τρέξει οπως θελω, μήπως λόγο του routing παρουσιάσει lag οποτε το αποτέλεσμα βγει κακο και παει στραφη ολο το project.

Γενικά έχουν πολύ καλή απόδοση στον φωτισμό αλλά για την αξία που έχουν ...είναι αδιανόητο να έχουν τέτοια ποιότητα υλικών ...ειδικά στην τελευταία έκδοση....δεν το περίμενα από philips! Τα 2 αστέρια τα χάνει από θέμα αξιοπιστίας που απλά έτυχε σε μένα και το βύσμα που έχει στην τελευταία έκδοση που είναι αξίας για κινεζικό led. Η απόδοση φωτισμού τα σπάει για αυτό και 3 αστέρια!
Very good light for both shades of white and colors. You can find exactly what you want. With the bridge, the experience is good, but they could add more capabilities for effects and automation.
Overall, you get what you pay for, although I still think the price is a bit high. There are other lighting systems with almost the same quality but with a significant price difference.
Παρα πολυ καλο φως ειτε για αποχρωσεις του λευκου, ειτε χρωματων. Μπορεις να βρεις ακριβως αυτο που θες. Με το bridge η εμπειρια ειναι καλη αλλα θα μπορουσαν να βαλουν παραπανω δυνατοτητες και για εφε και για αυτοματισμο.
Γενικα οτι πληρωνεις παιρνεις, αν και παλι θεωρω λιγο τσιμπημενη την τιμη. Υπαρχουν και αλλα οικοσυστηματα για φωτισμο με σχεδον την ιδια ποιοτητα αλλα με καλη διαφορα στα χρηματα.
I have many Hue products, bulbs and fixtures, being loyal to the Philips ecosystem. I am more than satisfied with all of them and they have high reliability.
I decided to go for the purchase of an LED strip for the first time and went for this one (v4 now), since I was already in the ecosystem. Very difficult installation with problematic adhesive that you have to remove the paper with great difficulty. Poor quality of the materials along the strip. When it comes to the power supply connector, the small flat connector with pins that connects from the square box to the strip is the most problematic thing I have encountered in decades in terms of technological and electrical products. Poor quality connector, with a problematic lock and susceptible to any movement.
I really wonder how they managed all this at Philips, in a system of this reliability and value.
I do not recommend this particular product and under no circumstances will I attempt to go for an LED Hue strip again, even though I am in the ecosystem. Something that, of course, reduces the value of the ecosystem, which, anyway, does not have a wide range of options.
Έχω πολλά προϊόντα Hue, λάμπες και φωτιστικά, όντας πιστός στο οικοσύστημά της Philips. Σε όλα αυτά είμαι παραπάνω από ικανοποιημένος και έχουν υψηλή αξιοπιστία.
Αποφάσισα να προχωρήσω για πρώτη φορά σε αγορά ταινίας LED και πήγα σε αυτή (v4 πλέον), αφού ήμουν ήδη στο οικοσύστημα. Πολύ δύσκολη τοποθέτηση με προβληματικά αυτοκόλλητα που πρέπει να βγάλεις το χαρτάκι με μεγάλη δυσκολία. Φτωχή ποιότητα υλικών της ταινίας κατά μήκος. Φτάνοντας στο βύσμα τροφοδοσίας, το μικρό πλακέ βύσμα με τα pins που συνδέεται από το τετράγωνο κουτάκι στην ταινία, είναι ό,τι πιο προβληματικό έχω συναντήσει εδώ και δεκαετίες σε τεχνολογικά και ηλεκτρολογικά προϊόντα. Φτωχής ποιότητα βύσμα, με προβληματικό κούμπωμα και ευπαθές σε κάθε κούνημα.
Πραγματικά απορώ πώς τα κατάφεραν όλα αυτά στη Philips, σε ένα οικοσύστημα αυτής της αξιοπιστίας και αξίας.
Δεν συστήνω το συγκεκριμένο προϊόν και σε καμία περίπτωση δεν θα επιχειρήσω ξανά να πάω σε ταινία LED Hue, παρόλο που είμαι στο οικοσύστημα. Κάτι φυσικά, που μειώνει και την αξία του οικοσυστήματος, που έτσι κι αλλιώς, δεν έχει ευρεία γκάμα επιλογών.
