The motherboard, even with the b550 chipset, might be the best value for money option and easily competes with some low-value x470/570. I have been using it with a Ryzen 5 3400g, 44 multiplier, 105 speed (1.225v), and igpu 2000ghz, and it has no issues.
Recently, I also upgraded the RAM from g.skill aegis 3000mhz cl18 to ripjaws V 4000mhz cl17-18-18-36 (kit 2*8 in both scenarios), and I really noticed a difference in everything, going from 3 to 4.
For SSD, I have a 1*m.2 240gb with 1500 write/read and a 1Tb Samsung 970. For the first time, I see the speeds go beyond gaming and perform well in various apps and utilities without any lag.
It has several USB ports, and the BIOS update is very easy!
(You download the latest update from a laptop to a USB, change its name (check the site), connect the motherboard to power without CPU, RAM, GPU, SSD. Press the BIOS flashback for a few seconds, it installs, and everything is ready to support 5000 series APU/CPU).
It has 4 SATA ports, but I consider them unnecessary now with the prices of M.2. It doesn't make sense to get a SATA 3 SSD with a limit of 400 when you can get an SSD with speeds of 1500-3000. In the end, a 500gb SSD costs around 60€ and a 1tb costs 80-90€ (2tb for 150€), which covers the average user's needs comfortably with less money and much better speeds and lifespan (also, M.2 can be used in PS5, so recycling and lower cost... gradually phase out SATA SSDs with cables).

The BIOS is pleasant and user-friendly. The WiFi reaches 100/10 with Cosmote, which has a modem with 2.4/5ghz WiFi 6 through walls and floors. The Bluetooth is fast and stable within a distance of 3-5 meters.

This specific setup is in a small Aerocool case, with 5*120mm non-LED fans running at 1500rpms and 76cfm, and a Gannmax 200t to keep the APU temperature below 50°. It is used in a living room with an LG 7450 55" TV for popcorn, Netflix, WoW Classic/Shadowlands, Citra emulator, PS2 emulator, and overall low-end living room experience. I have no complaints. It runs everything smoothly. I might consider adding a 2060/3060 mini when the prices drop and the market has stock to play games like Doom/Witcher 3, but I'm not too concerned about investing in a graphics card (I also have a PS5).

Overall, this motherboard is small but packed with many features. It can handle overclocking thanks to its good power management and can fit in compact cases with good airflow or a watercool cooler. It has all the good qualities of an x570 series with a low price (Asus) and is worth every euro you spend on it. At 140€, it is suitable for budget builds like mine (APU, RAM, SSD), but also for R7 5700x/R7 3700x with CPU 2080/3070/70ti/RX 6700 XT/6800 XT

Everything is fine, except for the fact that if you add a second SLI GPU or if you place a PCI 3 GPU in the bottom PCI 3 slot, the bottom headers of the panel are located on top of the card and do not fit.

Quality construction with all the necessary components for a stable build. The internal connections are where they should be, the ports on the back panel are numerous and necessary, and there is the possibility of biosflash with a switch in case something goes wrong or for future processor upgrades. The two M2 disk ports are minimal now and the 4 SATA connections are perhaps the only negative, as well as the fact that they are upward-oriented. With a RYZEN 7 3700X and a pair of CORSAIR CMK32GX4M2B3000C15, the startup was immediate and everything initialized immediately. My SAMSUNG NVMe grandfather disk welcomed the installation of Windows in less than 10 minutes and performed at its maximum in the relevant Crystaldiskmark test. The memories are stable, in 2-DIMM/DUAL CHANNEL, but when I added another pair, for a total of 64, the system became unstable after a few test cycles, so I stayed with 32GB. The wifi is excellent, although it was tested in AC mode - ax router, which we will have to wait to see - where it performed almost at its nominal speed compared to my ASUS router, 1140Mbit/s versus nominal 1200Mbit/s at a distance of 4 meters.
Update 21-01-21
After the latest bios update, the memories work properly with the full 64GB with DOCP (or Intel's XMP) enabled. With HW Monitor, the 3700X is a bit warm (34 degrees) at idle with the XLC Predator 360, but this is a characteristic of all Ryzen processors, and the motherboard, when used for gaming, keeps 4 out of the 8 cores stable at 4.4GHz (the 8 out of 16 threads) with a stable Vcore of 1456mV peak. Something I did not expect to encounter is the incompatibility with the Aorus 1080 Ti Xtreme, specifically the inability to access the BIOS due to the incompatibility of the card's firmware and Vbios with ASUS's UEFI, as I read in related posts on the web. Other than that, when the operating system loads, everything is fine. I did not notice it earlier because during the assembly, I was using an ASUS ROG STRIX RX 480 until I cleaned and reinstalled the waterblock on the Ti. This takes away a bit from the 5 stars, but it is not a sufficient reason to remove one. Just be careful because I do not know if someone has another card to do the job.

After the initial issues with the AORUS and the whole process of finding out what is wrong, whether it's the motherboard or the graphics card, it turns out that it is the motherboard and the ASUS UEFI BIOS that does NOT include Gigabyte in its secureboot devices - the registry of system devices for Windows 10 fastboot. Specifically, as soon as I connected an old MSI HD7770, the motherboard displayed a message that it switched to compatibility mode for a non-UEFI device (CSM Mode for non UEFI devices), which simply means that ASUS has blacklisted Gigabyte, ultimately affecting the average user. To make sure that this is indeed the case, I dug up an EVGA 7800GTX from 2006 from the drawers, and it worked perfectly, at least in the BIOS. I did the same test with a Z270i STRIX, where I encountered the exact same issue, and the solution was the same (7770-CSM-all good...).
I did not expect in 2021 for there to be such corporate hatred because I have used at least two STRIX cards with modded vbios, a 1080 and an rx480, on a Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 motherboard without any problems. In the end, the whole system works as it should and as it should have been working for a month now. This confusion and difficulty in finding the CSM mode in the ASUS BIOS, and the possibility of someone without knowing all this to mistakenly discard a faulty graphics card, given the circumstances, the final rating is 4.

Very beautiful motherboard with high-quality materials. We go for pci 4.0 for m2 at 7000 mb/sec in raid or single implementation. The first m2 plays at X8 and the second at classic X4. Wifi with 20€ from the little sister of m is great for the chip it carries, the difference is worth it. It entered with a "humble" 3200g with the dual memory raised to 3443 mhz. It simply flies and is ready with display port and ready-to-use pcix 4.0 to get whatever you need for the next 5 years. 2x m2 ssd corsair m510 were put in raid 0 and reached 7000 mb/sec!! Because it was ridiculously fast, they were split into two different ones with raid 1 solution, so we have full speed 3000 mb in clone for endless security. It is beautifully designed and easily installed with Asus warranty. The price is high because it is very new at 178€, but with wifi and ready display port and hdmi along with the economical 3200G, it can drive two 2k screens with very good value for the set at 260€. Trident RGB 3200 memories raised to 3433 are perfectly stable. We have a base for the next 5 years in a reputable and durable series. The wifi is excellent and can cover two independent networks...n. Impeccable packaging and all the accessories with the RGB ready for decoration.
