Description

This book includes Teaching Examples and Assessment Criteria for Modern Greek Language and Literature according to the new Curriculum for Modern Greek studies and the new way of teaching and assessing the subject. Together with Volume A by the same authors (Modern Greek Language and Literature I), it provides the material needed by every candidate to successfully respond to exams.

Specifically, the book contains:
- 12 Teaching Examples in Modern Greek Language with various types of questions across different text genres and detailed answers to highlight the new method of processing non-literary texts.
- 12 Teaching Examples in Literature across different text types (narrative, poetic, theatrical texts), with various questions (comprehension, construction, interpretation) as well as a question related to the interpretive comment assessed by students. All questions are accompanied by answers and indicative development of the interpretive comment based on content elements (textual indicators).
- 20 Assessment Criteria from all thematic units, according to the type of texts and questions prescribed in the new Ministry Guidelines.

At the end of the book, indicative answers are provided for all assessment criteria.

In the same spirit, Pantelis Boukalas refers to the duality of contradiction "being and appearing," which plays a dominant role in political life, as our era seems to reward the virtual rather than the real, the plausible rather than the genuine. Drawing examples from poll questions, staged television debates, and endless discussions on trivial matters, he denounces the way the political game is played, where – for strategic reasons – the person's personality is separated from their ideology, political consciousness, and way of life, and is equated with their image, a constructed image designed to win impressions and attract voters' interest. Indirectly, the issue of public opinion is also touched upon here, which various polls attempt to shape by projecting an illusory reality, aligned with the interests each serves.

One of the worst study aids I have ever come across. Poorly written. The theory is overly analytical for no reason. The criteria are completely useless. The literary texts are irrelevant and unrelated, confusing and with hastily written questions. Plus, their topics are limited. Half of them are about the coronavirus.
